Voters endorse Doug Kemper ...

Prior to the election, people wrote to tell us:

I am voting for Doug Kemper because...

I have voted for Doug Kemper because he is truly the most qualified candidate for Circuit Judge.  I have known Doug for over 20 years since we attended U of L together.  In that time he has shown a maturity and wisdom that is beyond reproach.  His devotion to God, his family, and the community is what we should all expect from our elected officials whether in the Judiciary or in the Legislature.  When his personal qualities are coupled with his experience as Circuit Judge and Assistant Commonwealths' Attorney he is far and away the best man for Circuit Judge!  ~ LTC D. Brian Byers

I support Doug Kemper because he is absolutely the most qualified candidate in this race.  He is a consummate student of the law. He follows the law in every instance, and he has impeccable judgment.  He has more courtroom experience than any candidate in any judicial race.  He is tough, compassionate and has a superior intellect.  Doug Kemper as judge would be an asset to Jefferson County, and it would be a shame for us to miss this unique opportunity.  Encourage everyone you know to vote for "Judge Kemper". ~ Scott Davis

... My relationship with Doug is uncommon.  I met Doug 15 years ago when he represented the Commonwealth and vigorously prosecuted the man who murdered my son.  In Circuit Court, where the docket is mainly composed of criminal cases, Doug's expertise and knowledge of criminal law will ensure the citizens of this community that justice will be forthcoming. ~ Linda McCandless

... Ihave known Doug for several years and I consider him one of the most honest and genuine people I know.  My vote for Doug Kemper is a vote for a person who is not only qualified and committed to the position of judge, but passionate about helping the people of the Louisville area by dispensing the law in a fair, objective and instructive manner.

~ Chuck Adams

... he will serve the citizens of Louisville well and uphold justice in a system that at times does not always attend to the interests of its people.  He is honest, hard-working and strives to make our community a safer place for everyone.
~ Tamara Beam

... I have known him for 25 years, know him to have good judgment, trust him to consistently make the right call when faced with tough decisions, and know that he will make a wonderful judge for this community.

... I have seen firsthand his dedication to community and citizenship through his work as a Scout Leader for Pack 346.He has helped many young people as well as their parents understand the importance of the Judicial system and how it works. His work ethic and integrity are second to none. He exemplifies all of the qualities needed to preside on the bench. Judges must make the most difficult of decisions on a daily basis. I trust Doug Kemper to make the right decision each and every time. I'm proud to support him.
~ Greg Acker

... he is the perfect match for the position he’s seeking.  As his campaign materials declare, he is “committed, qualified, and ready to serve.”  While this is certainly true, it really doesn’t completely describe his credentials.  He is also quite intelligent and has great passion and respect for the judicial process.  He is honest, fair and even tempered.  Above all, he has tremendous integrity.  As a personal friend of over 25 years, I know him well.  My comments about him are not embellished to any degree.  I wouldn’t let friendship get in the way of the facts.  He has my unqualified support!

~ Joey Russ

... I have seen his heart for people and how he truly loves helping others and doing what is right.  I know he will be a fair and just Judge and I trust him completely.
~
Tammi Paulson

... I believe that he has all of the attributes that I feel a well qualified Judge needs. He has the experience, the education, the knowledge, the integrity, and most of all he has the morals of a person that I think is needed to preside over a court.
~ Pat Beam

... I strongly believe state judges should be intelligent, experienced professionals with one eye always looking to fairness.  Doug Kemper is a unique blend of traits which I feel make a great judge all while being one of the most moral and ethical individuals I know.  In short, I am voting for Doug Kemper because I care about the future of our state's judiciary.
~ Kyle Vaughn

... he is a man of integrity. The court system needs people of his caliber.   His experience in law and the court system is what we need in the courts of today.  I feel this country needs Judges with his dedication to the people he serves and Doug is this man for us.  I have seen him personally with his family.  He is a devoted family man with Christian values.  Doug will not be a different person once he is elected.    He has no hidden agenda.  I think it sometimes is difficult for people to decide on what judges to elect.  However, this is very important to our balance of the judicial branch to pick someone with core values.  I have no second thoughts of who I will vote for in this race for Judge.  I will vote for Doug Kemper and I encourage everyone else to do the same!
~ Donna Beam

...  when I was a prosecutor, I had the opportunity to work with Doug. There are very few people in this world that you can count on to always do the right thing. Doug is one of those people. He has a great work ethic and a high intellect. It will be an honor to vote for Doug.

~ Mark A. Frederick

... I’ve known him for almost 25 years and certain things have never changed: he is a beautiful soul, deeply considerate, intelligent, principled, non-biased and experienced. Doug, since I’ve known him in college, has always had the ability and wisdom to make sound, rationale decisions devoid of emotion but with great respect to fairness and justice. It is these characters in government that will make Louisville a better place for ourselves and our children.
~ Robert Rebecchi

. . . being a judge is Doug’s calling and he possesses all of the qualities I want in a person who makes decisions about my rights.  He is a dedicated student of the law, a fine lawyer and an even better person.  Doug stays informed about changes in Kentucky law, and is always willing and able to provide succinct and accurate answers to legal questions, even outside his normal area of practice.  And if Doug doesn’t know, he is curious and takes the time to find out.  Doug inevitably provides thoughtful and reasonable assessments that often include issues I had not previously considered (or maybe didn’t want to).  Doug challenges colleagues to seek more information, step away from personal agendas and to acknowledge other perspectives.  Doug also loves this community.  He is raising his family here, and wants nothing more than to serve as one of our judges.  We are lucky to have the chance to put him back on the bench.
~ Trent Spurlock

... he best represents who I am…and because he’s real, he’s family, he’s strong and he’s personable!
~ J.P. Davis

... he is a man of high integrity who has great knowledge of and love for the law. He is an advocate for justice who places high regard on the responsibility of this judicial position. He is thoughtful, dedicated, energetic, articulate and wise.  Our community could not be better served than by voting for this candidate.
~ Kathy Beam

... he is a man of integrity and honesty, with the moral fortitude to uphold the constitutional laws and bylaws of our fore fathers. I know Doug personally and see time after time the love of his family and friends. He is a man who is involved in his community and Church; volunteering his time in a variety of ways. Please vote for Doug so that he can inform and teach the community the judicial system, by example and as he promises, to go out and conduct seminars.
~Mike Beam

... he has the most integrity and is the most honest man I know.
~ Leland "Buddy" Howard

... he is a good family man, a good parishioner, a good neighbor, and a good friend.  Doug truly lives life by the golden rule of treating others the way he would want to be treated and this resonates in everything that he does and everything that he stands for.
~ Kent L. Darbro

... I have had the pleasure of working with Doug on the University of Louisville Alumni Board for several years. He is intelligent, conscientious, hard working, enthusiastic, and compassionate. Doug is a man of high integrity and he has a great legal mind. Doug has practiced in both civil and criminal areas of the law. He is good natured, thoughtful, and an earnest listener. Doug is an outstanding candidate for Circuit Court Judge.
